1. How do I get utilities located before I dig?

Idaho law requires that anyone digging at any depth needs to call for utility locates before you dig - it saves time, money, and ensures public safety! The City of Lewiston only locates utilities within the public right-of-way but for any digging on private property, a request for utility locates needs to be submitted to the Idaho Digline by calling 800-342-1585 or by visiting the Idaho Digline website.

2. How do I report a sight obstruction?

If you notice a sight obstruction, please contact Public Works at 208-746-1316 extension 0 or publicworks@cityoflewiston.org and we will document the area and send a notice to the property owner for it to be trimmed.

3. Who takes care of the broken/cracked sidewalks?

Sidewalk problems or complaints should be reported to the Public Works Department at 208-746-1316 extension 0 or publicworks@cityoflewiston.org.
